Lately, I began studying the book of First Corinthians. The book is a very beautiful book, I must say and it touches so many aspects of Christiandom beginning from the first verse of the book. Its been so amazing and I have been telling the Holy Spirit to give me an indepth interpretation of many of the verses and He's been doing that. I composed a song from one of the chapters.

But I got to Chapter 4 and Apostle Paul revealed so many deep things like the way they suffer for the course of Jesus Christ and are happy about it. What gripped me is the fact that they 'rejoice in persecution' as we as Christians are told to do and they never complained or decided to stop. He still continued preaching and showing Love.

1Corinthians 4

Verse 9 ' For I think that God hath set forth us the apostles last, as it were appointed to death: for we are made a spectacle unto the world, and to angels, and to men'

Verse 10 ' We are fools for Christ's sake, but ye are wise in Christ; we are weak, but ye are strong; ye are honourable, but we are despised'

Verse 11 ' Even unto this present hour we both hunger, and thirst, and are naked, and are buffeted, and have no certain dwellingplace;'

Verse 12 ' And labour, working with our own hands: being reviled, we bless; being persecuted, we suffer it:'

Verse 13 ' Being defamed, we intreat: we are made as filth for this world, and are the offscouring of all things unto this day'

It continues on and on. I beseech you to go read the entire book of 1Corinthians if you are yet to do so and YES! I composed my first ever Hymn written by me! I alone know its tuneeeee. Lol. It goes like this -

                           THE APOSTLES FERVENT, WORKED

STANZA 1 - Under the rain, in the storms or in sunshine
                      The Apostles fervent, worked
Under the cold, deep in thirst and in hunger
                      The Apostles fervent, worked

CHORUS- And so will i work, will i serve the Lord
Both in good and in bad times, I will work
Am a soldier for Christ, I will never retire
And I will surely finish well.

STANZA 2 - Under defame, in the filth of this world
                      The Apostles fervent, worked
                      Under revile, in continuous persecution
                      The Apostles fervent, worked

STANZA 3 - Under pressure, in the midst of false doctrines
                      The Apostles fervent, worked
Under rejection and in total objection
                      The Apostles fervent, worked

STANZA 4 - Under the shame, they were never ashamed of Christ
                      The Apostles Fervent, worked
Under denounce, they will never denounce Christ
                     The Apostles fervent, worked

STANZA 5 - Under the whips, they were beaten, they were pushed away
                      The Apostles fervent, worked
Under danger, they were punished, they were screamed at
                      The Apostles fervent, worked

STANZA 6 - Under tension, they will never deny the faith
                      The Apostles fervent, worked
Under the covering, they still left families and worked
                      The Apostles fervent worked

STANZA 7 - Under the love, they ran for the Ultimate
                      The Apostles fervent, worked
And at the end, Heaven is their Ultimate
                      The Apostles fervent, worked

Its my prayer that even as you read it, you will get indepth understanding and it will touch you to keep doing God's work and never relent because we have an ultimate prize we are running for - HEAVEN. A scripture fell on my heart when i woke up today and it is an assurance Jesus gave us 'For I am with you always, even till the end'. So, it doesnt matter how things are looking right now, how you are being mocked because you have chosen to carry the cross and follow Christ alone. Jesus sees our every tears and actions all because of Him. He is happy and excited and wants us to keep at it. I tell you, He's proud of us! God bless you!
