Yesterday, we discussed the third thing God hates which is 'hands that shed innocent blood'. We said another word for that phrase is 'murder'. We sited biblical examples of murder, things that could result into murder, people that are capable of murder and biblical verses on murder. Today, we will be discussing the fourth thing God hates.
Let's go back to the bible verse in study

Proverbs 6 vs. 16 - 19

16 There are six things the Lord hates,
seven that are detestable to him:
17         haughty eyes,
        a lying tongue,
        hands that shed innocent blood,
18         a heart that devises wicked schemes,
feet that are quick to rush into evil,
19         a false witness who pours out lies
and a person who stirs up conflict in the community.

Another word for schemes as used in other bible versions are - Plans, Imaginations

As used in an online English dictionary, it could mean - Tactic, Game Plan

When used as a verb, it could mean - Conspire, Plot, intrigue, Maneuvre

God has stated clearly and specifically that He hates anyone with a heart that devises wicked schemes, plans, imaginations, tactics, game plans, conspiration, plot etc. The Bible has told us that the heart of man is desperately wicked. This wicked heart is the heart of stone that we were all born with. However, once we surrender our lives to Christ, there is an exchange. God takes out that 'desperately wicked heart of stone' and gives us a heart of flesh, a heart of love, a heart that thinks only good and never evil.

Looking at the Government of this present world, many or most of them have a heart of stone that devises wicked schemes. After being voted for, they always refuse to fulfill their promise of alleigance to their people and country forgetting that a promise is a debt. Rather than going the right way, they prefer to sit in their inner chamber and devise wicked schemes to deceive and eventually destroy the people and anyone against them.

Before you start judging the government, humans on a daily basis are fond of devising wicked schemes. When you plan to hurt someone, you are automatically devising a wicked scheme. When you plan to take a revenge on someone, you are devising a wicked scheme/plan. When you decide to bear false witness, you are devising a wicked scheme. When you join in a protest against an innocent person, you are devising a wicked scheme.

When you gossip about another person, you are devising a wicked scheme. When you decide to tarnish someone's image, you are devising a wicked scheme. When you decide to hold back a person's promotion or next level, you are devising a wicked scheme. When you decide to steal from someone, you are devising a wicked scheme. When you owe a person money and you refuse to pay back when you have the money, you are devising a wicked scheme.

When you decide to repay evil for evil, you are devising a wicked scheme. When you decide to extort people, you are devising a wicked scheme. When you are hypocritical and pretentious, you are devising a wicked scheme. Basically, when you do anything from your flesh and against the word of God, you are automatically devising a wicked scheme. And what does God say about it? HE HATES IT!

When God hates something, that thing is His enemy. The best way to be an enemy of God is to do the things He has stated He hates. And all enemies of God would not inherit the kingdom of God because their dad is the devil.

Are you doing any of the things above or even worse? REPENT NOW!

Let's look at some Bible verses that talks about wicked schemes/plans/imaginations.

Romans 1 vs. 21

For even though they knew God, they did not honor Him as God or give thanks, but they became futile in their speculations, and their foolish heart was darkened.

 Psalm 10 vs. 2 - 4

In pride the wicked hotly pursue the afflicted; Let them be caught in the plots which they have devised. For the wicked boasts of his heart's desire, And the greedy man curses and spurns the LORD. The wicked, in the haughtiness of his countenance, does not seek Him All his thoughts are, "There is no God."

2 Corinthians 3:14

But their minds were hardened; for until this very day at the reading of the old covenant the same veil remains unlifted, because it is removed in Christ.

So this I say, and affirm together with the Lord, that you walk no longer just as the Gentiles also walk, in the futility of their mind, being darkened in their understanding, excluded from the life of God because of the ignorance that is in them, because of the hardness of their heart;
Titus 1:15

To the pure, all things are pure; but to those who are defiled and unbelieving, nothing is pure, but both their mind and their conscience are defiled.

Proverbs 23:33

Your eyes will see strange things And your mind will utter perverse things.

2 Corinthians 4:4

in whose case the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelieving so that they might not see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.

And you were dead in your trespasses and sins, in which you formerly walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, of the spirit that is now working in the sons of disobedience. Among them we too all formerly lived in the lusts of our flesh, indulging the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, even as the rest.

There are six things which the LORD hates, Yes, seven which are an abomination to Him: Haughty eyes, a lying tongue, And hands that shed innocent blood, A heart that devises wicked plans, Feet that run rapidly to evil,
Genesis 11:6
The LORD said, "Behold, they are one people, and they all have the same language. And this is what they began to do, and now nothing which they purpose to do will be impossible for them.

He plans wickedness upon his bed; He sets himself on a path that is not good; He does not despise evil.

They hold fast to themselves an evil purpose; They talk of laying snares secretly; They say, "Who can see them?" They devise injustices, saying, "We are ready with a well-conceived plot"; For the inward thought and the heart of a man are deep.

Who with perversity in his heart continually devises evil, Who spreads strife.

Proverbs 12:20

Deceit is in the heart of those who devise evil, But counselors of peace have joy.

Proverbs 14:22

Will they not go astray who devise evil? But kindness and truth will be to those who devise good.

Lets' come boldly to the throne of Grace that we may receive mercy and let's keep praying for our government that God will have mercy on them and destroy every of their wicked schemes and give them a heart of flesh in Jesus Name. AMEN!

Keep a date as we will be discussing the fifth thing God hates by tomorrow. Have a Good Evening!
