HOLDING TIGHT TO THE FAMILY

The family relationship is one that cannot be exaggerated. It is absolutely important and beautiful. God loves the family system so much and He made sure Adam had one. It is important that we learn to hold fast to the family bond. In life, we get to meet so many people and experience a whole lot of things. At the end of the day, family is what we run back to.
God initiated the family system and He has recognised the importance of the family system. From the father to the mother to the kids to the extended family of relatives OR from you and your spouse to your kids to the extended family of relatives. The bond must never be broken.

It is important that we are able to connect to the family and put Christ first. If we are in a family of unbelievers, they should be the first to be reached out. Every family should have an altar for Christ, sharing God's word together in the morning and evening.

There are many Bible Verse that talks about the family bonding and relationship.

1 Timothy 5:8

8 Anyone who does not provide for their relatives, and especially for their own household, has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.

  • Acts 10:2
  • 2 He and all his family were devout and God-fearing; he gave generously to those in need and prayed to God regularly.
    • Exodus 20:12

    • 12 “Honor your father and your mother, so that you may live long in the land the LORD your God is giving you.
      • Joshua 24:15

      • 15 But if serving the LORD seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your ancestors served beyond the Euphrates, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you are living. But as for me and my household, we will serve the LORD.”
        • Proverbs 11:29

        • 29 Whoever brings ruin on their family will inherit only wind, and the fool will be servant to the wise.
